How Cigarettes are Real Baddies 01/05/2012
It is not surprising that your mother, grandmother, or spouse tells you not to smoke. All people have a tendency to not quit once they’ve learned how to smoke. Some only smoke a few sticks per day while others get with their everyday lives having to smoke more than one pack daily. It really doesn’t matter how many sticks you light up everyday, as long as you do it every day, you’re bound to experience one or more of its bad effects as you age. This was one habit that took the life of my father-in-law-to-be. It was really a sad story because although I didn’t know him personally, it was obvious that he had been a very good person given the number of people who went to his wake and the nice stories that they’ve talked about during those days. What was really sad was he was diagnosed of having lung cancer, and it was already stage 3. Not only that, the doctor said that at the age of 70, he was very healthy and his body is clean of any issues that are commonly associated with aging, except that his lungs were invaded by cancer cells that metastasized through several internal organs. Around a week later, the doctor informed his family that the disease had reached stage 4 and that he was lucky to last for 3 months, but he didn’t even make it to a month in the hospital. All smokers don’t want to tell their loved ones when they are already feeling something they believe is caused by smoking cigarettes. This maybe mainly because they don’t want to hear the line ‘I told you so’ coming from the people around them and still continue to smoke without anyone preaching them like they are kids. It’s really easy to deny to others that you could handle the consequences of smoking cigarettes, but you know to yourself that it was your addiction that led to the sudden decline of your health. However, if you think you cannot quit smoking using traditional ways but want to live a healthier life, you could otherwise smoke electronic cigarettes. Smoking electronic cigarettes are said to be a great alternative to genuine cigarettes, as they contain minimal to no nicotine, and does not produce yellow teeth. If you don’t want to suffer the consequences of smoking, electronic cigarettes is your best substitute.
